Kindergarten Week of August 25 We had a great first week! The children are getting the hang of our routines and all is going well. I know they do get tired by the end of the day. Kindergarten is a big step up from Pre-school. Remember—if you ever have questions or concerns give me a call or drop me an email. Language- This week we are going to start learning our letter sounds. I will introduce Mr. Mmm(sound) on Monday and Mr. Sss on Wednesday. Your child will bring home a letter bag on those nights. Please let them find a small object that begins with that sound and send it to school the following day. Thanks Our new Popcorn words are: we, the Our story is all about ABC’s Star of the Day will begin this week. Be sure to check your child’s folder—it might be you. Math-We are free-exploring the math manipulative, one-to-one correspondence, and numeral recognition to 10---of course, the daily calendar Science- Religion-We will begin our daily religion class with the first grade students. Our first Unit is about God Created the world. We are also learning our morning offering and after lunch prayers (they are attached) Homework: Letter bags THANKS FOR ATTENDING OPEN HOUSE!! |
